 Originally from Ohio, Michelle has lived and worked as a certified nurse-midwife in metro Atlanta since 1996. She received her BSN from Capital University in 1992, gained two years of experience as a labor and delivery nurse in Fort Myers, Florida before beginning her training in nurse-midwifery at Rutgers University in New Jersey. After finishing her training, Michelle permanently moved to Georgia. Michelle brings a tremendous amount of experience caring for women with high risk pregnancies and women seeking unmediated natural birth. She estimates she has "caught" more than 5,000 babies in her career.

Outside of her career, Michelle is the widowed mother of a middle school-aged son. They enjoy camping, boating, and outdoor activities, as well as traveling as much as possible.
