Dr. Albert Scott, Jr.

Dr. Albert Scott, Jr. was born in Mansfield, Ohio. He received a B.S. in honors mathematics from Ohio State University and received his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. Afterwards, Dr. Scott completed residency training at Henry Ford Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan.

Nearly 15 years ago, Dr. Scott founded DeKalb Women's Specialists, which now has offices in Decatur and Lithonia, Georgia. He is a board certified physician as a Fellow of The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (F.A.C.O.G.). Dr. Scott has been a recipient of many prestigious awards, namely “Top Doc” by the Atlanta Magazine and “Outstanding Physician of the Year” by the Atlanta Business Chronicle. His leadership and community roles over the recent years include President of the Atlanta OB/GYN Society, Chief of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at DeKalb Medical Center, member of the DeKalb County Hospital Authority Board, member of DeKalb 100 Black Men, and member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. Most recently, Dr. Scott was chosen as the first African-American Chief of Staff in DeKalb Medical Center’s 50-year history.

Dr. Scott’s hobbies include playing the saxophone and golf. He is also conversant in Spanish. He is the husband of attorney and practice manager, Sabrina R. Scott, and proud father of Trey and Courtney.
